I bought this interface for my A6 4F MMI 3g Basic

+ 12 / gnd power supply, ok, but the questions remain!
on the image that I present to you, all the questions are present in image.

1) cam rear , I installed it, I plugged it in before receiving the interface, this camera is powered by 12v as the vehicle goes into reverse.
question, plugged the connector "R-CAM"? or not ?

2) The interface wires, yellow, purple, gray and white, they plug or ?
what connection in the car ?

3) Cabling "CAN" ok, I use "HS" if no good..., "LS"
I do not cut the original wires, I connect them "green / brown (command) with green" and orange / brown (command) with green / brown

4) RGB-in connector, why ? necessary ? , wiring in the car ? or ?

Hello.
You may power it up(ACC and GND wires) from the cigaretter lighter.

1. Rear view camera can be powered from the R-CAM socket of the video interface.

2. F-CAM-DET, SAFE wires are not used. MMI wire(picture attached) is used to switch video interface inputs with the OEM NAV button(on MMI controller). REAR wire should be connected to the reverse lamp +12V wire if CAN connection is not used.

3. Do not cut OEM wires. Just strip them off and connect CAN wires from the interface to them.

4. RGB socket is used to connect an aftermarket navigation box.

Find the OEM wire on which ~+12V appears when the reverse is on and connect the grey wire from the video interface to it.

OK no problem, the gray wire of the interface receives + 12v when the reverse gear is engaged, to display the reversing screen

it is a solution if I do not want to use the CAN communication wires.

and in case I want to use CAN wires? , I do not plug the gray wire. (ok ?)

the transition to the screen from the reverse then to the video screen and then,
the MMI radio screen will be with the original controls, which is much more convenient.

in this case, finding the CAN wire on the Audi, can be a problem right?

Yes, you don't need to connect it.

CAN connection should be done behind the climate controlling unit as it's shown in the manual https://car-solutions.com/nfs/product/8 ... al_2.0.pdf , page 12.

because, I connected to the CAN network of air conditioning, as noted in the manual, without success!
CAN interface cable H hs / ls, then CAN L hs / ls the same! no result !

Have you tried all values in CAR MODEL after you've connected to CAN wires behind the air conditioning unit?

yes, everything tried, tried also to reverse the CAN cables (with some fear ... some cars do not like that!)
no dialogue!
no problem .... I will do with the "classic" way without CAN.

just a note, I posted elsewhere in the forum, to have the audio with this interface, you told me that carsolution had no answer!
