Questions on 2010 C-Class install

I have a few questions before I begin my video interface install.

First, the vehicle and interface details

• 2010 MB C63 amg
• Multimedia package with 7" folding display
• Not equipped with OEM backup camera
• 811226 Video Interface (revision 7.4)

The questions I have are based on things that I cannot find in the User Manual or Installation Guide:

1. On the power cable harness, there is a blue wire labeled "Safe". What does this connect to?
2. Also on the power harness, there is a grey wire labeled "rear-c". If I am connecting to the CAN wires and have power to the camera already, do I need to connect this grey wire to anything?
3. Both the LVDS and LCD-Out cables appear to have ground wires, but are not noted in the manuals. Are those to be grounded?

1. Not used.
2. Grey wires marked "Rear-c" is used when image to the rear view camera is not switching by CAN. In this case connect this wire to the rear lamp +12V wire.
3. These cables should be grounded.
