Fuses to use CS9200

Postby cpkiewiet » 20 Aug 2014, 16:02

Hello,

I have a guestion about connecting a navigation box (9200) to my car's power source (toyota touch&go).
What is the power consumption of the navigation box 9200, I assume that the acc wire is used to "power on" the device,
so that means less power consumption. Is it possible to use the original power cables to my car in-dash unit, or is it nessecary to use a complete new line coming from the fusebox.

So than I wont to know witch fuses do I have to use to secure the power wires.
Fuse 1 for the 12v battery power
Fuse 2 for the acc power wire

Thanks in advance !

Hi!
Consumption is ~300mА. Everything depends on the connected USB devices. It's not obligatory to connect the yellow BAT wire, connect ACC and GND.

I have here related question...
If we DO connect yellow wire, can we use the "sleep" feature of the box so it doesn't have to make cold restart which takes about a minute to restart, every time the engine is ignited? Meanwhile you cannot use the rear camera and usually you need it immediately after starting the car. Also what will be the power consumption of the unit in "sleep" mode?
(By the way, can you tell me, which of the two remaining pins is the constant 12V supply, because I don't have yellow wire at all in my CS9200RV for Toyota-Lexus wiring and I have to add one?)

Hi
Yes, if you connect the yellow cable to the constant plus, the box will be powered from the battery for another 40 seconds (can be adjusted). CS9200 launches for approximately 10 sec.

Also what will be the power consumption of the unit in "sleep" mode?

There's timer. 40 seconds by default. Power consumption is the same.

(By the way, can you tell me, which of the two remaining pins is the constant 12V supply, because I don't have yellow wire at all in my CS9200RV for Toyota-Lexus wiring and I have to add one?)

Here it is
