This is how I installed the CS9320A into my Rav4. If you wish to duplicate my installation, I accept no responsibility for any damage or loss to you or the vehicle you’re working on. Any work you do is at your own risk.
The HUD Touch monitor showing what happens when the ‘NAV’ button is pressed (before installation).
Step 1 - Determine the type of HUD
With the engine off but the keys in the ignition at position 1, press and hold the MEDIA button on the HUD, and then turn the lights on & off three times. This displays the SERVICE MENU.
Next press the SERVICE INFORMATION option to display the SERVICE INFORMATION page.
Then press the VERSION INFORMATION to display DA PUSH option.
Finally press the PUSH option to display the Manufacturer Name & version data.
Take a photo of the Manufacturer Name and send it to Gregory in sales sales@car-solutions.com and he will advise the correct Interface components.
Supplied box contents are as above.
Step 2 – HUD removal
Remove the negative terminal from the battery making sure you have the car unlocked and the two front doors open.
Using an automotive trim removal tool (or a wooden spatula) gently lever off the corner of the clock trim, slowly lifting out and upward. Once the corner is loose, gently pull along the length of the trim to remove.
To remove the clock, squeeze the yellow clips side to side and gently pull forward.
Pull out the left then right vents by gently pulling forward on the top of each vent.
