CS9320 navigation apps in car mode

Does anybody know if there's a way to exclude and app from being obscured by the car mode? Completely disabling the car mode prompts you with a warning every now and then (around 15 minutes tops in my case) and grabbing the remote control to make it disappear while driving doesn't seem quite safe. It strikes me as an oddity that a navigation box obscures the navigation app. Maybe there's a hidden setting or app that I don't know about?
