CS9100 stopped reading sd card

Postby pandavi » 29 Jul 2012, 22:59

Hello,
I have a cs9100 installed in my car (MB GLK 2011) together with CS multymedia interface
I worked fine all the time for 7 months, no problems.
Today I have entered NAV mode in the car screen however all I get is the Car- Solutions logo, the menue did not boot.
I have tried the following:
1.Replace the SD card with a fresh formated one with all the files copied from my PC where I keep a backup copy of the sd files - Nothing happened.
2. Same as No.1 but with the files copied from the original sd card which I have removed - Nothing happened.
3.Formated the original card and recopied the original files I have removed before formating. - Nothing happened.

There is no boot sound/melody when powering up the device (turning on the car ignition).

The led indicator lamp is ok.

It has happened just like that, nothing special has occured before that, i have started the car in the morning and switched to NAV screen and it did notshow the menu .

Could you please help, prefferable online, I hate the idea of having to send the unit for repair, it is still under warranty until Dec 2012, It was sent to me from your HK depot and I had to wait a long time for it I have purchased it over the phone via your sales people (Gregory)

May be it requires a reset, altough I don't know the procedure nither the version of the device.

It is frustrating and very disappoimting that it has stopped functioning after 6 months, if it is on the softwear levle , it shoud be self servicable, soft/hard reset should be available to the user to perform, like any other windows operated device.

Please help!
Thank you!

Dear Pandavi.

Such problems happen in two cases:
You tried to change starting logo
Software failure, which can be prepared only by reinstallation of software.

Anyway you should send us your device for software reinstallation. Please insert the description of your problem into the package. And indicate your address for us to send you the navigation box back.

Please write your full name and email in personal messages and our sales manager will contact you.

Thank you for your reply!
1.As I stated before, I have done nothing to the device prior to the problem, I have used it the day before normaly, the next morning it failed to boot, I have noticed it while trying to switch over to navi mode.
2.Wouldn't it be possible for me to load the softwear myself? with your instructions, having to send it abroad woud be inconvenient.
3.In case I have to send it, Where to do I send it? what about shipping costs, it is under warranty.
4.Would you need the sd card as well, I would preffere not to send the card.

Thank you!
