Car Mode Warning

Postby Mightyjoe » 21 Aug 2014, 07:15

Hi everyone,

I have made a stupid mistake.

I was playing around with the setting of my CS9320 and i wanted to see what would happen if I changed the screen density option.

Now when I boot up the system i cannot do anything. The 'Car Mode Warning' message comes on but im not able to press enter to clear it because the option is off the screen. (The warning is larger than the screen)

Ive tried scrolling down and using the mouse control on the remote but the mouse arrow is restricted to the four corners of my alpine screen. I cannot find anyway to bypass the 'Car Mode Warning' without pressing enter.

One of your technicians kindly sent me a file to install on SD card to update the system. The update was performed but unfortunately did not fix the screen size after reboot.

Is there anyway I can factory reset the device without accessing the menus?

Is there a file I can install on the SD card, like the update file that was given to me, that can factory reset the system on start up?

Any help is much appreciated.

Im really hating myself for playing around with the settings. :o

Hi.
Try this update.
It will restore factory settings. However, it will also delete all programs which were additionally installed.

Thank you for your help so far.

I have installed the file and reset the unit.

This has performed the reset and cleared the 'Car Mode Warning' message.

Unfortunately it did not reset the display settings as I hoped.

The main problem is the screen density setting is too high. (Set at 300)

I can access the setting area and go on to change display settings, but when I select screen density I cannot select another value because the menu does not fit on the screen. I can only see the very top of this menu where it says 'Screen Density' and 'Cancel' below it. All other options below this are off screen.

Also I notice that the pointer hand remote does not communicate with screen after reset.

I really appreciate your help and patience. Your support or truly great.

Hi,

Just an update on the situation.

I tried to reformat and update with the different files you gave to me. Unfortunately both times the screen was stuck on 'Navigation system loading...". I waiting each time for about 10 mins.

I still had the first update file you gave to me when I first came to you with this problem so I just reinstalled that.

Screen Density is still set at 300. :|

Hello.
Please try this update. It should reset image settings to 800x480 EXT and standard density.

If bootloop happend try the common update. Image settings should be reset to default after previous update.

Hi,
I have the exact same problem, tried to change touch density and now everything is too big to be accessed. Unfortunately the last update file does not work for me. Could you please send me an update file that will reset the touch density, or, all settings to factory default?
Thank you very much.

It worked, thank you!
Another question, please. I connect to Bluetooth with no problem. I can hear everything very well but my callers cannot here me. Same with skype and Viber. The microphone works fine, otherwise, I have tested it in other applications. Any idea why this is?
Thank you very much

Further to my previous question, Bluetooth needs to pair every time I turn off and on the device. Isn't there a way for this to happen automatically, after the first pairing of course?
Thank you
