CS9320a startup problem

Hello,

I have the CS9320 android connected to a JVC kw-v21bt.
Sometimes after the car is not in use for a few hours, when you turn the car engine on, or only the switch on,
the CS9320 do not boot up.
When you switch the screen on the JVC to the CS9320, all you can see is black screen, because
the CS9320 didn't boot up. The JVC unit is working ok.
When that happen, if you turn the car switch off, and then back on (or start the car engine again), then the CS9320 boot up and working ok.
It's like the CS9320 is going into a sleep mode sometimes after a few hours.

Anyone familiar with that problem?

The gps box and the JVC unit came with the car.

You may try updating OS and FW of this box, maybe it will help.
Here's the latest OS update Android 4.3 https://www.odrive.com/s/92a834ac-f7b0- ... 2-58d264e9 .

Here's the FW update https://www.odrive.com/s/7074f343-d3c7- ... 2-58d26500 . Should be updated after you have update your system to Android 4.3 to avoid box reboots.

How to update FW: copy *.bin file to the SD card or USB drive. Go to the Settings-Customization-Advanced settings-7777(code)-FW upgrade, select your *.bin file .

After update disable "car mode" in the car mode settings and default settings https://car-solutions.com/nfs/product/8 ... _guide.pdf , page 17-18 .

Note! All apps and settings will be set to default after the update.

Thank you for the help.
I was at the car service today, and they think it's a software issue with the JVC.
They checked the software and firmware versions of the JVC, and said it was never updated and very old.
They are saying that cause a poblem of not showing image from RGB connection, and why it's suddenly working after
Closing and openning the key switch.

By the way, this problem happened to me also after the car was parked for only 40 minutes,
So it's not what i thought, that's doing the problem only after a few hours when the engine and switch are off.
They will do the update to the JVC when i'll have time.

What do you think about their diagnose? Can it be a software/firmware issue from the JVC kw-v21bt？

We don't deal with JVC radios so, unfortunately, we can't advise anything in this case.

Thank you for trying to help. I appreciate it.
After they will do the update to the JVC i'll report here if it solved the problem or not,
in case anyone else will have the same issue in the future.

I'll also let them know about the option to upgrade the cs9320 firmware/software as you wrote before.

I just checked the version of the gps box,
and i see that under model it says WP9320A .

Is it the same firmware and OS as the CS9320A ?

Btw, i see mine is android 4.1.1 .

hi,

I noticed another thing. I saw that the 9320a has a led light which blink when the unit is on and working ok.
Today it made the problem of not loading again, so i checked the 9320a box (which is under the steering wheel),
and i noticed that the led light is off.
After turning the switch/engine off and after that back on, the led light on the 9320a suddenly started to work,
and offcourse the system boot up ok.

So i think it's a problem with the 9320a unit.
Is this an hardware problem? How it's possible it's not getting power sometimes, but after restarting the car,
it suddenly get power?

suddenly the led on the gps box is on and the android is loading the IGO app.
