Video Interface BMW PIP IDRV, CS9100, BMW X5 2007 6.5”

Postby Stanley » 07 Jun 2011, 13:02

Hello!

my car: BMW X5 año 2007 con pantalla de 6.5”
I connected CS9100, Multimedia Video Interface for BMW with PIP function (IDRV support).

When I start the engine fist time - everithing is working perfectly, but when some time passes, image get spoiled like I send you here at the picture. And then we will need to restart the system to get good quality again. But not every time we restart the system we get a good quality. It seems like some component in CS9100 or in Video interface is not working properly.

Please let know if you need addicional information.

thank you

hi once again!

here are answers to your questions:

1. How is video signal connected from CS9100 to video interface? By RCA or RGB?
- It is connected by RGB. We also tried by RCA, and it picture was even worse this way.
2. If by RCA, please confirm if the cable was of good quality.
- Yes, I confirm, cable was of good quality
3. If by RGB, please let us know if you extended the cable and did you connect it to GND?
- We did not extend it. I just edjusted distance of two connectors. Yes I connected to MASA.
4. What is power supply for Video Interface? Did you connect one ACC with “+” and another (GND) with case?
- Video interface takes power from “cigarette lighter” (15 AMP). It is the only plase where we can take good enough feeding. And Masa – directly to screw in a vehicle.
5. What is power supply for CS9100? Did you connect one ACC with “+” and another (GND) with case?
- we tried 2 ways. 1 – to “cigarette lighter”. 2 – with the same cable from Video interface (navi – blue cable). Masa – with the car-body.
6. Do Cs9100 and Video interface take power from the same place?
- As I already told we tried both – from the same place and directly from the battery.
